About Jim Karol

Jim Karol was born and raised in Allentown Pennsylvania. Times were tough growing up in Allentown in the 60's and 70's and just like in the Billy Joel song "Allentown", Jim worked at the local steel mill and lost his job along with hundreds of others.

Encouraged by his wife and parents, he began performing mind and memory tricks that he learned from a friend at the steel mill who owned a magic shop. Word of mouth soon spread and Jim found himself entertaining at company and private events throughout PA and NJ.

After only a few months, Jim knew that being an entertainer was what he was meant to do. For the first several years he traveled throughout the U.S. performing at Colleges and Universities and soon began headlining at comedy clubs and casino showrooms. After the shows, Jim would teach students memory techniques and tricks of the trade and this became so popular that he became one of the most sought after acts in the country. He began making appearances on television shows, demonstrating some of his Amazing abilities. Some of his early appearances were the Rosie O'Donnell Show, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Ellen Degeneres Show and the TODAY Show.

He was then asked to appear as one of the worlds top ten Mentalists on NBC's Phenomenon, starring Criss Angel. While out in LA filming Phenomenon, he was voted the World's Greatest Mentalist at the World's Magic Awards.

Jim's "highly energetic" demonstrations of memory and intuition are EXTREMELY unique and original, he doesn't just do magic tricks or memorize a list of objects shouted out by audience members. He will absolutely astound the audience with his extraordinary abilities like knowing everyone's zip code, the day they were born, their occupations, the college they attended and hundreds of other facts.
